Emmerdale fans have grown worried for Jacob Gallagher, who they reckon could be next in villain Meena Jutla’s sights.
Evil Meena has already killed Leanna Cavanagh in the village – and that’s without speaking of the ‘friend’ she murdered before her arrival in the Dales.
And now, after Jacob actor Joe-Warren Plant teased his exit plans, fans are worried he could be next on her cruel agenda.
It looked like Meena might get caught out for a brief moment during Thursday’s episode, as the villain blatantly wore Leanna’s ring to her funeral – and it came off the chain and rolled to dad Liam’s feet.
But Liam failed to notice the fallen jewellery, leaving fans expecting the storyline to continue ‘until Christmas’.
Taking to Twitter to share their theories, plenty of fans are sure Jacob is set for a dark death twist in the coming months after Joe-Warren let slip his plans to return to acting school.
“Think Jacob could be Meena’s next victim as he’s announced he’s going back to acting school #Emmerdale,” one fan theorised.
Another echoed: “Jacob exit storyline [coming] soon!”, as a third fan penned: “Got a strong feeling Meena will kill Jacob or Liam next, maybe both.”
Joe-Warren appeared on ITV daytime chat show Lorraine earlier this week, explaining: “I think I need to go back to acting classes, for sure.
“I’ve always got some improving to do. There’s a level I want to get to but I’m not quite there yet.”
He admitted of his education: “My mum and my dad sent me to theatre school in Blackpool to try to improve my confidence.”
And it was Joe-Warren’s parents who inspired him to go into acting, as he explained it was his dad who started out with a career in Soapland.
Joe-Warren said on the show: “It was my dad who used to be on Emmerdale as an extra and he did parts in Coronation Street.
“He never got that role that I’ve been so lucky to get. So I think he just channelled all his energy into me.”
Joe-Warren said acting in emotional scenes can be emotionally draining, confessing: “Both Emmerdale and Dancing on Ice were physically and mentally exhausting.
“Skating around on a rink for a couple of minutes is harder than you think.
“But also, crying in every scene or shouting in every scene is pretty tough as well!”
Emmerdale continues on Friday at 7pm on ITV.
