Gemma Collins says she’s starting IVF after struggling to conceive with boyfriend Rami

Gemma Collins has revealed that she is exploring the possibility of IVF after struggling to get pregnant with boyfriend Rami Hawash, 46,

The 40-year-old got candid about the difficulties she’s experienced while trying to conceive and her desperation to have a child of her own.

Speaking on a Love Lounge instalment of her The Gemma Collins Podcast about IVF, the former TOWIE star said: “I really want a baby now, I’ve not been using any contraception.

“I can’t get pregnant so I’m gonna have to be brave now and look into this myself.

“It feels like sometimes – when’s it gonna happen? Why me?”

A fan had emailed into the podcast to ask Gemma for some motivation after finding herself in a similar position, spurring Gemma to discuss the possibility of her starting IVF.

She was quick to reassure the woman that she and her fiancé could still manage to have a baby.

She said: “IVF is not a bad thing, honey. Don’t worry. You can get it and lots of people conceive on IVF.

“There’s always someone out there with a bigger, worse situation than you. Just go with the flow of life.”

Gemma and Rami are former flames, who first dated a decade ago in 2011, before enjoying an on and off romance for three years until they split in 2014.

They were even engaged at one point, after Rami proposed by hiding a diamond ring in Christmas pudding in 2013.

They briefly reconnected in 2017, but Gemma was back with James Argent soon after.

However, she called it quits with that rocky relationship for good last year.

In April, it was revealed that Gemma and Rami had been secretly dating for six months and Gemma previously said she’s the “happiest I’ve ever been.”

It comes after The Sun reported that the reality star is “in talks” with BBC bosses about making a documentary with them on her journey to motherhood.

She reportedly wants to document her experiences in order to help other women who are in the same situation as her.
