Holby City fans were left heartbroken as Jac Naylor left the soap in upsetting scenes on Tuesday.
Rosie Marcel, who played the role of Jac for 16 years, recently revealed she was leaving the soap.
The storyline surrounding her final episode wasn’t confirmed, but last week fans were convinced the character was shot in a shooting horror.
Luckily Jac wasn’t killed, but the scary event led to her leaving Holby City.
The traumatic ordeal was too much for the character as she decided to leave the Darwin Ward for good.
Things took a tragic turn after she bid a fond farewell to Kian Madani.

Jac and Kian had shared a passionate romance on the soap.
Madani was left heartbroken when Jac left, and his devastation had horrific consequences.
As Max McGerry walked into the hospital, she discovered a barely conscious Kian collapsed on the floor with empty packets of medication scattered around him.
Jac, unaware of Kian’s despair, walked away from the famous hospital carrying her belongings, before meeting Clayton who had come to pick her up.

Fans went into meltdown on Twitter as they shared their heartbreak over Jac’s departure and Kian’s downward spiral at the end of the episode.
One said: “Oh it’s not going to be the same without Jac”.
While another wrote: “Oh Kian”, with a crying emoji.
A third added: “I’ve just sobbed seeing Jac Naylor leave. I’m gonna miss her so much.”

Viewers watched Max attempt to persuade Jac to stay, but she had already made her decision.
She told Max: “I’m done”, to which she replied: “Take a breath.”
Naylor said: “I wish I could.”
“I’m sick of looking down the barrel of a gun.”
Max told her: “I can’t afford to lose you.”
Last week, viewers watched Jac be faced with a gun once again.
Kian’s former drug dealer Sarah Jane was admitted to the Darwin ward, leaving the character and his colleague Jac in the firing line.
At the end of the episode, viewers saw a character sneak into the hospital with a gun.
The villain first pointed the gun at Kian, and then to Chloe.
He finally pointed it at Jac, who walked closer to him and asked him if the weapon was even real.
The camera then cut to Nicky who was walking down one of the hospital corridors.
A loud gunshot was heard, leaving Nicky terrified.
Holby City airs Tuesdays at 7.50pm on BBC One.
