Lucy-Jo Hudson looked worlds apart from her onscreen Hollyoaks persona in a recent Instagram snap.
The 38-year-old soap star showed off her fresh ash-blonde locks that could not be more different from the mousy brown ‘do she wears when playing troubled Donna-Marie Quinn in Hollyoaks.
She also debuted some fabulous new ombre eyebrow work and some tweaks to her lips.
Lucy-Jo captioned the stunning image: “Thank you @claire_j_hobson for my eyebrows and lips… the colours are perfect and they have healed beautifully.
“You really are the best when it comes to permanent make-up! Love you.”
Her fans loved the new look too with calls of “gorgeous” and “beautiful” and “amazing”.
Lucy-Jo, who also starred in Coronation Street and BBC’s Doctors, played Donna-Marie in Hollyoaks until 2019 before returning again properly in June of this year.
Donna-Marie is a challenging role to play – she was previously a prostitute with drug issues and gave birth to a son after a dad paid her to have sex with his teenage gay son to “turn him straight”.
The actress is mum to Sienna Rae, eight, and a baby boy called Carter with her boyfriend Lewis Devine.
Her daughter’s dad is Corrie’s Alan Halsall – the pair split in around 2018 and are said to have a strained relationship and only communicate by text about their daughter.
Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, kicked off earlier this year when Lewis referred to his little girl as “our Sienna” in an Instagram post about how much she loved her new brother.
Lewis posted: “Our Sienna is delighted and is already making the best big sister, just like I knew she would!”
Alan fumed back with: “You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one and call her your own! But not my daughter.”
Lucy-Jo met fellow actor Lewis on the set of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 2017, with rumours that the pair may have got together before she split from Alan, according to The Sun.
Lucy spoke out about Alan’s post and explained why she decided to just ignore it.
She told OK! magazine: “I had literally just given birth to Carter when he posted that so I didn’t see it and my head was elsewhere.
“He quickly deleted it so he must have regretted it. I didn’t bother bringing it up with him.”
Lewis told the publication that he and Alan didn’t fall out about the post, while Lucy added that co-parenting is “challenging”.
