Jeremy Kyle Show 30st guest says host 'saved his life' after weight loss transformation

Jonathan Kingston weighed 30 stone when he appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show in 2017.

But he has shed an impressive seven stone since going on the now-cancelled daytime programme with his mum Sue, who left viewers and Jeremy emotional as she begged her son to change his lifestyle for the sake of his health.

Jonathan readily admitted he was at the lowest point of his life when he made his TV appearance. The show was titled: “Reunite me with my son: rehab saved his life!”

His weight ballooned as a result of depression, anxiety and an unhealthy junk food obsession. He binged daily on takeaways and ate Pot Noodles and meatballs for breakfast.

The show marked a turning point

After being confronted by the stark reality of his health situation, he underwent a 12-week military style bootcamp.

Impressively, Jonathan has remained dedicated to keeping the weight off ever since.

Speaking about his appearance on the now axed show, Jonathan previously told The Sun: “My son was just three when I went on the show. I was at my lowest point, rock bottom.

Jonathan looks much slimmer

“I was living with my parents, and didn’t have a job. I tried everything – every diet known to man, going to the doctors and even considered surgery, but nothing worked until Jeremy sent me to bootcamp.”

He added: “If I hadn’t gone on the Jeremy Kyle Show I’d probably have been dead within a few months because of my weight- it was a lifeline for some.

Jonathan does regular exercise now

“My weight had always been an issue but it’s totally changed now. I can play football with my son, and do martial arts with him, and I now work full time as a supermarket checkout assistant.”

Meanwhile, Peter Andre has spoken out in defence of his friend Jeremy Kyle. The singer said that Jeremy really struggled after the show’s cancellation – following the death of a guest – and the investigation that followed.

“In my opinion, the network should have protected him as he was made a scapegoat when one of his past guests allegedly took his own life”, he wrote.
