Joe Swash's 'stomach churns' as pregnant Stacey Solomon craves raw cauliflower

Joe Swash has revealed the cravings that his pregnant partner Stacey Solomon has been devouring recently – and apparently they make his “stomach churn”.

Chatting to the snack company Peperami, the 39-year-old former EastEnders actor revealed that Stacey enjoys some rather peculiar food combinations at the moment, due to her pregnancy.

“She likes to eat raw cauliflower coated in mango chutney, mayonnaise, then mixed with curry power. She loves it, but it makes my stomach churn making it for her,” he told the snack company while chatting about weird food combinations.

This revelation comes as Joe was asked what quirky food combos he and his family enjoy ahead of him teaming up with the brand.

Joe and Peperami are on a quest to “Ban the Bland” when it comes to the UK’s eating habits.

“I am a man of simple pleasures. If I want a snack, it will be something that fills me up. I’m old fashioned – meat, veg, potatoes,” the star explained.

“Stacey loves all that fancy stuff; she’ll whip up strawberries and cream on pastry – that is my worst nightmare!”

“And her snack habits have just got stranger now that she is pregnant!” Joe explained.

That’s when he revealed that pregnant Stacey has been munching on raw cauliflower coated in mango chutney.

The Loose Women star has an excuse for her quirky food combos though, but Joe has no excuse for his weird food habits.

“For me, I put jam on my cornflakes with a dash of milk in the morning,” he confessed.

“My grandad used to do it and now I do. I used to think it was gross, but now I love it!”

Joe then opened up about family life inside Pickle Cottage, explaining how they have one very strict rule.

“I also don’t like phones at the table. We have a rule in our house that phones are banned from the dinner table – the kids are on them enough!” he said as he revealed his biggest pet peeve.

He then gave yet another insight into the Pickle Cottage residence: “Both Stacey and I pick up the reins when we need to. There is not one person that does everything. We both muck in and that’s why it works, it’s how we want it to work.”

The engaged couple announced earlier this year that they were expecting their second child together after a heartbreaking miscarriage.

They also recently moved into their new home – Pickle Cottage – with Stacey often documenting the renovation with her handy tips, tricks and DIY projects.
