Katie Price has pleaded with her social media followers to sign a petition which would help parents guarantee appropriate care for their children if they live with autism after they die.
The businesswoman has been vocal about the support of those living with autism as her eldest child, Harvey, 18, lives with autism, partial blindness and Prader-Willi Syndrome.
Katie, 42, used her Instagram account that boasts 2.4 million followers to share the petition which had been started by Anna Kennedy OBE, who started her own school to assist the needs of her autistic sons.
Taking to her Stories, Katie shared a screenshot of the petition, encouraging fans to “Swipe Up” to access the site along with a gif reading “Make A Difference”.

The petition titled: “Who will look after my sons when I am no longer around?” goes on to say: “Parents all need peace of mind that practical and emotional support will be available when they are not there to help.
“We are calling upon the government to ensure social care is adequately funded to meet the ever-growing needs especially in these uncertain times of families and disabled adults.”

Katie recently documented her life taking care of Harvey as the 18-year-old moves towards college life, which will see him move out of the family home and live independently.
The former Page 3 mum has been praised for bringing Harvey up alone after his dad, Dwight Yorke, has played no part in his life.
During their documentary, Katie Price: Harvey & Me, the television personality and her son looked around various colleges that would be adequately suited to provide for Harvey’s needs.

Katie addressed her fears that Harvey could be sectioned and forced to stay in a mental health hospital if he is unable to successfully adapt to life at college.
The mum-of-five added that she would prefer for Harvey to die before she does as she doesn’t know how he would be able to cope without her.
Opening about her thoughts about on Steph’s Packed Lunch, she said: “The reason I say it is because he won’t cope without me.
“He’d be so heartbroken because I know everything about him – how he likes to be tickled, how I finish his sentences, I play the mum and dad role.
“And you can’t beat your mum’s cuddles, no one can cuddle him at school.”
