The first glimpse of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana has been shared with the world ahead of the release of upcoming movie Spencer.
The 30-year-old actress looks just like the Princess of Wales as she gazed out the window dressed in a stunning 1980s ensemble in a promo snap.
Kristen can be seen wearing a black turtleneck, red coat and a black hat with a view, very similar to the one worn by Prince William and Prince Harry’s mum on Christmas Day in 1993 at Sandringham.
Spencer is written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and is set over a crucial weekend in Princess Diana’s life six years prior to her tragic death in 1997, aged 36.
The biopic movie will see Diana spend her final Christmas with the Royal family before ending her marriage to Prince Charles.
A synopsis for Spencer reads: “December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate.
“There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.”
Speaking about the role, Hollywood star Kristen said: “Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life.
“It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name; Spencer.

“It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her.”
Kristen has also been working hard on her research before filming starts this year.
She previously told InStyle: “In terms of research, I’ve gotten through two and a half biographies, and I’m finishing all the material before I actually go make the movie.
“It’s one of the saddest stories to exist ever, and I don’t want to just play Diana – I want to know her implicitly.”
Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris will also star in the film alongside Twilight star Kristen.
Details of who the actors will be portraying are yet to be released.
Filming is due to take place in both the UK and Germany this year with an anticipated release date of 2022 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death.
