The former chart-topper, who is the sister of Loose Women regular Coleen Nolan, appeared on Good Morning Britain on New Year’s Eve where she explained how being cut off from her family due to social distancing left her in tears.

Linda said: “It has been a difficult year, myself and my sister [Anne] were diagnosed in cancer and yeah, it was scary having to the hospital as Covid was there but reality the opposite was true – it was the safest place.

“My cancer is treatable but not curable. It is the third time now and this time has been harder because of the pandemic.

“It makes you release how much you need other people,” the brave star added.

She went on to admit it’s given her a new outlook on life, and said: “I possibly took people for granted and suddenly I wanted them to be there and put their arms around and go through it with me but they couldn’t.”
