Lisa Armstrong is allegedly “relieved” that her ex-husband Ant McPartlin’s second wedding is over and has reportedly called the ceremony a “kick in the teeth”.
Ant married his new wife and former PA Anne-Marie Corbett in Hampshire on Saturday, in front of celebrity guests including Cat Deeley, Christine Lampard, Declan Donnelly and David Walliams.
Missing from the star-studded guest list was Ant’s ex-wife Lisa, who separated from the Saturday Night Takeaway host in 2018 after 12 years of marriage.
Lisa has since allegedly shared her relief that the lavish wedding is over – supposedly dubbing the costly occasion “a bit unnecessary”.
A source told OK!: “Lisa is feeling relieved that the wedding is all over. There was a bit of a cloud over her head with the big build up.
“But she did think it seemed to be over the top – Lisa thought it was going to be a bit more low-key.
“She thought it was a bit insensitive for Ant to be punching the air. She thought it was a bit of a kick in the teeth and a bit unnecessary.
“She couldn’t help but see it because the pictures were everywhere.”
The source’s comments follow Lisa liking a ‘team Lisa’ tweet after the nuptials.
She also recently liked a tweet referencing the ‘terrible weather’ in Hampshire while Ant’s wedding was taking place.
The 44-year-old make-up artist is currently dating electrician James Green, who she was pictured with over the weekend.
The pair has been dating for almost two years and looked loved-up as they strolled around London with Lisa and Ant’s shared dog, Hurley.
Following their wedding, Ant is set to embark on a ‘familymoon’ with Anne-Marie and her children.
She has two daughters from her previous marriage to Scott Corbett.
