They may not have made the final of Love Island but some of the dumped singletons that appeared on the show made up for it by enjoying a boozy after-party.
Former Islanders Sharon Gaffka, Hugo Hammond, Abigail Rawlings and Aaron Francis were all in London staying at a swanky hotel to celebrated the finale of this year’s show, reports The Mirror.
The ex-villa residents took to Instagram to share stories and photos from their luxurious hotel rooms courtesy of ITV before heading to watch Laura Whitmore crown the winners with a selection of fans.
Aaron, 24, was seen strutting around his spacious London room wearing a white bathrobe before welcoming Hugo round for some Prosecco.
Sharon, 25, was also enjoying the high life as she posted an Instagram story of her wearing a pink dress in a mirror snap.
Hugo, 25, uploaded a video of his room and wrote: “What’s up guys, so yeah, here in London tonight watching the Love Island final.
“ITV have put us up which is really nice of them and yeah, I’m really looking forward to meeting a load of the guests we have tonight and chilling with some of the superfans.”
Down at the bar Hugo, Sharon and Aaron hooked up with fellow islander Abigail, 27, where they enjoyed more drinks.
The host for the night was Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson who openly admitted to trainee teacher Hugo that he was rooting for Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran to win the £50,000.
Instead, Millie Court and Liam Reardon won and split the cash pot, much to the delight of Hugo who said the pair “defo deserved” the title as they were the “most normal natural couple this year”.
The announcement was met with loud screams and cheers at the party before the guests readied themselves to dance into the night.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their love for Millie and Liam as they landed the top spot of the 2021 summer series, with one user writing: “So happy that Millie and Liam are the winners and the way he asked her to be his girlfriend!”
Another said: “I’m so happy for Millie and Liam honestly, all four couples deserved to be in the final.”
A third person said: “I’m happy for Millie and Liam but I’m gutted it wasn’t Chloe and Toby.”
Viewers were torn as Chloe and Toby landed the second spot, with one user stating that they’re happy Millie and Liam won due to their romance, but wished the runners-up had come first due to their thrilling entertainment throughout the series.
