Comedian Michael McIntyre has realised size isn’t everything after selling his BBC One game show The Wheel to the States.
TV chiefs there have cut the programme from 60 to 40 minutes and only have six celebrity guests sitting on the giant spinning wheel instead of seven.
This is to accommodate their endless commercial breaks.
However McIntyre does not mind the cuts at all and claims it gives viewers “cliff hangers”.
He explained: “The main difference is that the US Wheel is smaller with six celebs and not seven.
“This is because the show needs to be shorter in duration with all the commercial breaks.
“I think it worked well and I actually enjoyed ‘throwing to a break’ as it gave me a chance to dramatise where we were in the game.
“It’s the first time I’d ever gone to a break having only ever hosted shows on the BBC before.”
McIntyre also revealed that for the first ever, when he was in the States, he actually jumps on the wheel as it spins around.
He said: “In the US version I started jumping on the outside of Wheel where the celebs sit and spinning around with them, which I will definitely be doing more of.”
It comes after Michael mocked Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli for being “a strange colour” on This Morning.
Michael explained that the only other person he knew over in America while filming The Wheel was Bruno.
Talking about the dancer, the comedian said: “The only person I knew as well was Bruno. Bruno Tonioli.
“He has gone an incredibly strange colour of brown. He should be called Brown Tonioli. He is literally in the sun all the time.”
The Wheel will air in American in 2002 and will see celebrities attempt to help contestants win money via a spinning wheel..
In each show, a group of celebrities are strapped to the circumference of the giant wheel.

Each celebrity has brought one area of expertise to the show – and it is on these areas that the contestants must answer questions.
The contestants themselves are underneath The Wheel, on another smaller wheel. This player’s wheel is spun, and whichever contestant is randomly selected, rises up on their chair, to take their place at the centre of The Wheel and begin the game.
The player at the centre of The Wheel is in control – if they can stay there until the end of the show then they could win a prize.
However, one wrong answer or spin of The Wheel and they’ll be back down to the Contestant Wheel, and they might never return.
The Wheel is back Saturday on BBC One at 8pm
