New Love Island villa with selfie mirror, rude artwork and secret drawers

Love Island fans best prepare themselves for a summer of saucy antics, unexpected texts and major dumpings, as the new series of the highly anticipated reality show kicks off on Monday night.

In order to whet viewer’s appetites, ITV has provided a sneak peek around the new Island villa.

And although producers have kept the villa to a similar style to that of the previous series, there are still a few changes around the complex.

In a short video clip, presenter Laura Whitmore provided a tour around the luxurious vacation home located in Majorca.

The villa is back and ready for the singletons

Introducing the vid, the presenter said: “Welcome to Love Island 2021. Now this is my first time at the iconic villa in Majorca, I’m so excited to show you around.”

The camera then pans around the grounds of the complex showing off the picturesque garden and scenic views from the Majorcan hills.

As well as a gym and fully kitted outdoor kitchen, the outdoor area includes a new selfie mirror which is ideal for candidates who enjoy taking group selfies without too much hassle.

Or it’s also handy for islanders who enjoy posing solo too.

The selfie mirror is located in the garden area and is great for islanders who long to create lasting memories of their time in the villa.

The iconic swinging sofa and the outdoor day beds will also feature in this year’s series.

Both locations have been a staple fixture in the show and have allowed islanders to partake in intimate chats.

Before the dog house was introduced on the programme, the daybeds were often used frequently in previous series when there weren’t enough beds in the villa or when a break-up occurred and someone had to sleep outside. Ouch!

The day beds are also back

They are also a great location for islanders to rest in the sun or to lounge during the evenings.

The bedroom is most certainly a key feature on Love Island because just like the previous series – this is where the magic happens.

For this year’s season though the headboards have had a makeover and have been replaced by rather cheeky images.

Pertaining to sexual innuendos and rising emoji culture, the headboards include images of a gherkin, a peach and a ripe peeled banana.

The islanders will also have the luxury of entering the villa through a new and improved entrance hall with a new neon light fixated to the wall, which will noticeably be seen upon arrival.

In addition to this, the hall appears to be a lot more colourful this time around.

The entry hall has had a change too

Although the entrance hall never received major camera time throughout the previous series, it is certainly a huge fixture for the islanders as this is where they enter and exit the villa when they are booted out.

The luxurious villa includes a large lounge area which will also be home to the dog house.

Previous islanders have been known to sleep in the lounge usually when a major recoupling takes place and things might not have gone to plan.

The lounge also includes large bunny rabbit decorative art.

The hideaway has received a makeover too. The tranquil space that is offered to loved-up couples who want a bit more privacy now sports a large red headboard with a neon light attached to it.

As expected, the room is decorated with lush fixtures and fluffy quilt blankets.

The hideaway also includes new secret drawers’ which could be ideal for islanders who want to hide their kinky possessions.

The hideaway has been spruced up too

The bathroom is currently fully stocked with all the islander’s toiletry needs, with products placed neatly on the shelves.

But with 11 hopeful candidates who’ve officially been confirmed to be entering, we wonder how long the bathroom will stay tidy?

The terrace is also back with a comfortable U-shaped seating area. This time, islanders will also have a plant fixture in the middle of the terrace to add to the decorative look.

Just like Love Island series before, the terrace also has plush cushions for the islanders to enjoy.

The dressing room, which often dominated by the ladies, is also back and looks very neat and tidy (for now).

As expected the round tables in the dressing room have made a return as well as installed hairdryers and straighteners.

The dressing room is back

The dressing room is packed with beauty products to help the islanders get ready when they are about to go on dates or when they are settling down for a night in the villa.

Finally, the diary room seems to have remained pretty much the same.

The iconic space, which sports a comfortable large chair, includes the famous beach hut backdrop.

Islanders are able to share their intimate stories, happy events and give viewers an update of what exactly is going on.

It’s also become a great room for a cry when islanders may need a little time out from the rest of their housemates.
