Rebel Wilson has opened up about her 30kg weight loss, saying that she has been “in touch with her inner siren” since getting into shape.
The Australian actress has said that she feels totally different since shedding more than four stone, explaining that she grew up as a “personality girl” and didn’t really focus on “trading” on her looks.
Known as ‘Fat Amy’ in the Pitch Perfect franchise, the star has been embarking on a “year of health” in a bid to aid her fertility as she would like to have a family of her own.
Rebel, who has been updating her fans throughout her weight loss journey, has opened up on her transformation regarding how she feels, how she’s treated and her past.
Speaking with Australia’s The Daily Telegraph, Rebel opened up about her transformation explaining how that since losing weight she feels like a “siren”.
Chatting to the publication, the star who rose to ultimate fame in Pitch Perfect, said: “I grew up not really trading on my looks, I was the personality girl.
“But after going through my whole health transformation last year, I’ve been in touch with this ‘inner siren.'”
She then opened up about her longing for a family, where she said: “I’ve been going through a fertility journey for the past two years and I’m hoping at some point I may have a family of my own.”
The star then spoke about how she has noticed a shift in the way she’s been treated since getting in shape.
Chatting to The Morning Crew With Hughesy, Ed and Erin, Rebel said: “Sometimes being bigger, people didn’t necessarily look twice at you, and now that I’m in a good shape, like, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you.
Sounding surprised, she said: “I was like, ‘Is this what other people experienced all the time?'”
