Sex and the City's Chris Noth says sexual assault accusations are 'categorically false'

Sex and the City actor Chris Noth has denied accusations of sexual assault from two women and called them “categorically false”.

It comes as two women, under the pseudonym of Zoe, 40, and Lily, 31, alleged that they were sexually assaulted by the actor.

He told The Hollywood Reporter : “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.”

Mr Noth said it was “difficult” to not question the timing of the stories, adding: “I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

Both women alleged to US publication The Hollywood Reporter that the actor had sexually assaulted them, with one incident allegedly taking place in Los Angeles in 2004 and New York in 2015, respectively.

The Hollywood Reporter has stated that the claims were made to them separately and months apart.

Lily told the publication that she were coming forward because “seeing that he was reprising his role in Sex and the City set something off in me”, she said.

Zoe claimed that while she was working in LA Noth would “flirt” with her at a high-profile firm where he allegedly regularly had business.

She told the publication that she was once invited to a building where he had an apartment to go in the pool and said he left a book and told her to bring it back to the apartment.

Zoe claimed that the alleged incident took place when she went to return the book.

Lily claimed they had met in a nightclub in New York in 2015 and was invited out to dinner with him.
