Stacey Solomon, 31, announced last night that she and Joe Swash, 39, are expecting their second biological child together.
Although the couple are “over the moon” with the announcement, Stacey revealed she had previously suffered miscarriages, including one at six weeks.
Stacey said the couple had been trying a “really long time” for another baby.
In an emotional Instagram video, Stacey revealed the couple had given up hope of conceiving another child together.
“We decided we were so lucky already to have our boys. It is our biggest privilege in life and we are so grateful to be parents so we stopped trying and counted ourselves so so so blessed already.”

In the Instagram story, Stacey revealed a blurred-out document showing her previous miscarriage at six weeks and five days: “Diagnosis based on ultrasound findings: complete miscarriage.”
Despite her and her fiancé Joe giving up hope, Stacey shared a video of the couple attending an ultrasound of their baby yesterday and seeing the heartbeat.
The bride-to-be added, “We were so grateful to hear an extra heartbeat in my tummy.”

Stacey, already a mother-of-three to sons Zachary, Leighton and Rex, is an “emotional wreck” following the announcement.
Sharing an image of herself cuddled on her sofa with her two dogs and one of her sons Stacey was “sobbing” reading messages from fans.
“I thought I’d be more together tonight but turns out I’m an emotional wreck.”
Stacey has spoken out before about the hardship of having a difficult pregnancy journey.
On Loose Women in January 2020 she said, “You’re growing a human, for some people it takes a really, really long time to get there, to get to the place where you’re pregnant and there’s not any definitive stats out there but in NCT statistics almost 70% of miscarriages happen in the first 12 weeks.”

“I feel like it’s each to their own. I understand why you might want to shout it from the rooftops from the minute you conceive, I know that feeling.”
Stacey has said that for this most recent pregnancy she is nervous as well as excited.

The craft-loving star shared a gorgeous snap of the family celebrating as they painted their Wendy house and placed their handprints next to the most recent sonogram.
