This year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis has posted a picture with a new dance partner, much to the dismay of her fans who were hoping that the unknown male was her Strictly partner Giovanni Pernice.
Giovanni also commented on the picture which showed the Eastenders actress dressed in jeans, boots and a big coat. Rose smiles for the camera as she is lifted up, Dirty Dancing style, above her new partner’s head.
The man is turned away from the camera with his arm covering his face and many eagle eyed fans attempted to figure out who he was.
The 27-year-old posted the picture on Instagram, updating her 525,000 followers on her antics since the show.
She has been spending time with family following the win but fans have been missing their weekly fix of Rose and Giovanni.
She captioned the post: “Strictly, you’re still not out of my system.”
Giovanni commented: “Well done!” followed by some loving face emojis.
Her fans couldn’t get enough either: “Please let that be Giovanni,” said one, while another commented: “Wrong man though! Where’s Gio?”
Another said: “Already miss you and Giovanni dancing every week!”
Fellow contestant AJ Odudu and presenter Alison Hammond both left heart emojis on the sweet snap.
It was later figured out that Rose’s new partner was her brother Jacob and that the two were messing around whilst spending time together.
He shared some heartfelt words for his sister during the final: “When I first found out about Rose on Strictly, I think – it was just absolutely mindblowing.”
“To see her get the earliest 40 in Strictly history, it just summed up how hard she’s been working.”
“She’s just powering through and saying to the public,`I can do everything that anyone else can do if I’m given that opportunity.’”
Despite the comments, Rose has a boyfriend who was present at the final show, cheering her on from the crowd.
The couple have been together for seven years and although many fans want to see Rose and Giovanni together, the couple seem strong.
Sam, who is also deaf, applauded his girlfriend using sign language when she finished dancing as the first deaf person to compete in Strictly.
