The Chase fans recognise player as they remember awkward Come Dine With Me stint

The Chase fans were left stunned on Monday, as they spotted it wasn’t one contestant’s first time on telly.

Contestant and locum GP Sarah was a confident quizzer, and flew through her cash-builder round before beating Paul Sinha, AKA The Sinnerman, to a whopping £32,000 to take back to her team.

But she isn’t the only quizzer in her family, as she revealed she often tries to beat her husband while playing along from home – but after her win, it doesn’t look like she has much to worry about.

“He won The Weakest Link,” Sarah divulged to host Bradley Walsh, who looked shocked at the revelation.

“How much did he win?” Bradly wondered, and Sarah replied: “Three and a bit thousand?”

Brad quickly quipped: “Rubbish prizes on that show!”

But that wasn’t Sarah’s only connection to the small screen, as viewers quickly flocked to social media to theorise where they’d seen her before.

“Sarah was also a contestant on Come Dine With Me!” one pointed out excitedly.

Another echoed: “I’m fairly sure this GP woman was on #ComeDineWithMe many, many years ago!”

“You know you watch too much TV when you recognise the woman on #TheChase from #ComeDineWithMe!” someone else joked.

A fourth viewer remembered an awkward moment during Sarah’s stint on the cooking show, as they penned: “Yes, she was a bit of a wine snob and got tricked into thinking some cheap, boxed wine was the posh stuff!”

“That’s where I know her from!” someone replied to the tweet.

Many fans were full of praise for Sarah’s impressive performance, with one simply writing: “She’s amazing!”

Another social media user echoed: “I have a lot of time for people who take the higher offer in The Chase”, as another typed: “Well done Sarah!”

Bradley was more enamoured with player Becca, who also made it through to the Final Chase, as he dubbed her “the best player we’ve ever had!”

It came after Bradley dared her to guess his age, and she went with a generous 45.

“You’re through to the Final Chase! Best player we’ve ever had on the show!” Bradley cheered as Becca made her way back to the rest of the team.
