This Morning regular Josie Gibson has quit social media after finding herself glued to her phone and reading negative comments about herself.
The Big Brother winner turned daytime presenter explained to her followers she felt she needed to take a break from Twitter and Instagram as it “wasn’t healthy”.
Josie added that she found she was using her phone so much that it was “disturbing and unhealthy”.
Posting a goodbye message online, Josie wrote: “Right I am off my phone and social until The 13th Jan so if I don’t reply I’m not being rude.
“I just keep finding myself on my phone and reading into all the negativity and it’s not healthy for anyone.

“I actually feel like I’m on my phone so much its disturbing.”
Josie was quickly showered with praise and love from understanding fans.
One supporter replied: “Enjoy your break ignore all the negative and venomous stuff people spout on here, your great on TV very smiley and funny.”
A second added: “Take care Josie…keep smiling.
“Loved the feature on This Morning today, you are a little belter so there is some positivity to put in your pocket.”
Meanwhile, a third chimed in: “Josie, you are amazing and a lovely person. I love seeing you on tv, please keep on being yourself.”
A fourth gushed: “You are a breath of fresh air and a joy to watch when on This Morning. Always bring a smile to my face.”
Josie previously highlighted the toxic culture online after calling out a troll who mocked her weight.

Josie retweeted a horrific tweet, which she had been tagged in, which branded her “absolutely vile” and said “how fat she had got again”.
Hitting back, the former reality TV star wrote: “But you are being rude, so you do mean to be rude.
“Don’t let my weight gain break your heart, honestly, there is so many more things in the world to care about that really do matter.”
