It’s been almost two years since Emmerdale bid farewell to Graham Foster after he was brutally murdered.
Graham was killed by evil rapist Pierce Harris who raped his wife Rhona Goskirks on their wedding day.
The unsuspecting victim was waiting to meet Marlon in the woods when Pierce approached from behind and bashed him over the head repeatedly.
Since his violent departure actor Andrew Scarborough has kept a relatively low profile but has recently starred on the big screen in epic war film The War Below.
The movie had its cinematic release in September to the delight of Andrew’s fans.
Emmerdale departure
Andrew left Emmerdale after two years starring as Graham in 291 episodes between 2017 and 2020.
His departure came amidst a mass cast “walkout” that saw him become the ninth actor to leave the show in a year.
At the time of his departure, Andrew thanked his fans in an emotional behind the scenes video.
He said: “Thank you to the fans, because the show isn’t capable of existing without the fans, and I’ve had such lovely feedback and backing from the fans about Graham.
“I don’t think they initially understood what he’s about – nobody does, actually, I still don’t know what he’s about. But people have bought into it, they’ve bought into the magic and mystery of him and it was a bit special.
“I think it’s better to go while there’s still the mystery, because there’s plenty about him. I just want to say thank you very much, and I’m close to tears, actually.”
Soap surfing
Over the years Andrew has appeared in several screen and stage productions including Casualty, Trial & Retribution, Silent Witness, The Bill, Bad Girls, Spooks, Holby City, Doctors, EastEnders, and Downton Abbey.
He also had a stint in Coronation Street where he appeared as Harvey Reuben in 13 episodes between 2000 and 2001.
But Emmerdale is definitely his biggest role in soaps.
Private life
Outside of acting Andrew has admitted to having a passion for cycling and regularly indulges his passion during his free time.
And while his romance with Rhona may have been Graham’s downfall on Emmerdale, but in real life, Andrew is happily married to his wife Brianna Keller.
The pair tied the knot in June 2016 and as yet have no children.
Not much else is known about Andrew’s family life as they choose to remain private.
