Harry Potter may have ended ten years ago, but the stars of the show have been up to a lot since it came to a dramatic conclusion – including the stars who had smaller parts.
Fans may be aware of what the Golden Trio are up to, with Daniel Radcliffe smashing it out in the box office in continuous new films and Emma Watson has done the same and even become a live-action Disney princess.
Not forgetting Rupert Grint now being, well, Ed Sheeran’s bestie and cameoing in his music vids.
Despite the last line being true, Ron, we mean, Rupert has also since had a baby with Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging star Georgia Groome.

Now, we’ve got the obvious big guns out the way, let’s cut to the chase and discuss while we’re really here….
To find out about what the lesser-known members of the Hogwarts hoard have been up to since heading their separate ways.
It’s nearing two decades since the first film Harry Potter and the Phillosopher Stone came out and ten years since the last and eighth movie Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was released, so as you can imagine a lot has gone on with the magical mob.
Here’s what some of the stars have been up to since the iconic era ended, and let’s just say, some of them have had a more pleasant path than others….
Josh Herdman

Solid Slytherin sly guy Gregory Goyle was portrayed by Josh Herdman, now 34, in the world-renowned set of films.
He was pictured as one of Draco Malfoy’s sidekicks who often did his dirty work for him.
In more recent years, he has stopped fighting wizards and started battling people professionally as an MMA athlete.
Speaking to the BBC about his stark move into the sport he said: “I chose MMA because I love the sport. It’s raw, exciting and unpredictable. I find it more interesting than boxing although I appreciate the beauty and art in boxing.

“It also made sense to move onto MMA because of my jujitsu training. I would like a few amateur fights first to get me started and where it goes from there, who knows?”
However, the star hasn’t completely shut the trap door on acting completely as he has also been cast in several roles since his Potter days, most notably in ITV’s Marcella.
Evanna Lynch

Irish actress Evanna Lynch, now 29, starred as Luna Lovegood, who is every sense random and eccentric and part of the Silver Trio who help Harry out majorly in the latter end of the series.
Evanna has racked up a number of acting credits since, including a lead role in the 2015 film My Name Is Emily and in 2017 she narrated a short film about the dairy industry, iAnimal.
The star is also an active campaigner who advocates for veganism and animal rights, alongside supporting LGBT rights and same-sex marriage.

She also appeared on screens again in 2018 as a contestant on the popular US celeb talent show Dancing with the Stars, finishing in third place.
More recently, she has collaborated with several nonprofit organisations and launched both a vegan-themed podcast, The Chickpeeps, and a cruelty-free cosmetics brand named Kinder Beauty Box.
Harry Melling
Now, who could forget the foul family member of Harry’s, Dudley Dursley…? Not us, that’s for sure!
The bully was played by Harry Melling, now 32, who you may not even recognise now due to his shocking post-Potter transformation.
Harry portrayed Harry Potter’s horrible cousin Dudley in the film franchise and since then he has continued to pursue his acting career and has also gone through a huge weight loss journey.

After seeing his face now though, it might jig a chess piece-shaped spot in your subconsciousness as Harry starred in Netflix’s smash hit series The Queen’s Gambit, which was released in October 2020.
The star spoke about this saying: “I can now shed the child actor thing like the fat and start a new career because no one sees me as Dudley.”
Alongside the highly-accoladed Netflix series, which was awarded multiple Golden Globes, Harry has also played Sergeant Smythe in The Keeper.
Jessie Cave

Jessie Cave, now 33, is most known for her annoying role of lovestruck Lavender Brown, who falls face-first for Ron Weasley.
Since Potter, she’s had several smaller acting credits alongside trying her hand at comedy and cartooning – separately.
She put on a comedic play Edinburgh Fringe Festival a few years back called Sunrise, a semi-autobiographical portrayal of her own life and relationships and she also published a book of her trademark cartoon doodles, called Love Sick.

The mum-of-three also faced tragedy over the lockdown period when her youngest born two-month-old son ended up being hospitalised with Covid.
Luckily, baby Tenn – now nine months – made a great recovery and can be seen smiling on the star’s Instagram.
In 2020, Jessie also released a podcast series called “We Can’t Talk About That Right Now” which she hosted with her sister Bebe, 23.
Jamie Waylett

Draco Malfoy’s other right-hand man Vincent Crabbe was played by Jamie Waylett, who never returned for the final film – the final two films Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and 2.
In August 2009, his co-star Joshua Herdman announced that he would no longer be starring in the films, which could be due to the fact he was pulled over by police and caught with a knife and eight bags of cannabis earlier that year.
Images on a camera led police to Waylett’s mother’s house, where additional cannabis plants were discovered being grown.

He was then charged a month later for possession of the drug and sentenced to 120 hours of community service.
In 2012, Jamie, now 32, was also jailed for two years for his part in the London riots after he was found guilty of violent disorder.
The Metropolitan Police charged him with “violent disorder, having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, and receiving stolen goods”.
He was specifically accused of possessing a Molotov cocktail while looting a chemist in Chalk Farm, London and admitted to swigging from a stolen bottle of Champagne.
Rob Knox
Robert Knox, who briefly played the character of Marcus Belby in the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tragically died in May 2008 aged 18.
The young actor had signed to appear in the planned film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but was murdered during a brutal knife attack outside a bar in Southeast London.
Rob bravely intervened in a fight to protect his younger brother Jamie Knox, who has opened up about his death since on ITV’s Lorraine.

Describing coping with his brother’s death, Jamie explained: “Time goes very quick – you go through a lot of different stages, first denial, you choose not to accept it, but you learn to come to terms with it. We shared the same friends so it was a real shock.”
His killer Karl Norman Bishop, was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum 20-year non-parole period.
As a tribute for the late actor, an annual film festival, the Rob Knox Film Festival was created in 2008 to commemorate him, by the Rob Knox Foundation which helps fund training for young local people in the arts.
