Adele will perform at BRIT Awards 2022 after pulling out of Las Vegas residency

Adele will perform at the BRIT Awards next Tuesday, the singer has confirmed.

The singing sensation has taken to social media to confirm the news to her millions of fans.

It was previously claimed she had pulled out of her rumoured Brit Awards performance on February 8th, weeks after she axed her Las Vegas residency shows.

Adele also confirmed she will also appear on The Graham Norton Show as well as the Brits.

The singer said on Instagram: “Hiya, so I’m really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!! “Anddddd I’ll also be popping in to see Graham for a chat on the couch while I’m in town too!

“I’m looking forward to it! Oh, and Rich sends his love.”

It’ll be the first performance for Adele since she cancelled her shows in Las Vegas in a tearful video last month.

She said at the time: “Hiya, listen – I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready.

“We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

“Half my crew, half my team have come down with Covid – they still are – and it’s been impossible to finish the show.

“And I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted. I’m gutted and I’m sorry it’s so last minute.

“We’ve been awake for over 30 hours now, trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time.”

The mother of one later thanked her fans for their support, and FaceTimed around 50 fans who made the journey to Las Vegas.

Adele’s run of shows at Caesars Palace was due to begin on January 21 and continue through to April 16.

People have been left uncertain about the future of the shows, as photos emerged of the stage being dismantled.

On Saturday The Sun reported a source revealed Adele had pulled the plug on her appearance at the Brits.

They also said that that bosses are willing to do whatever in order for her to accept a cameo appearance.

They said: “It’s a massive headache but they want her involved in any way she will agree.”

Adele has won nine Brit Awards including the prize for rising star in 2008 that helped launch her career, and performed at the live ceremony on a number of occasions.
