Former Countdown host Carol Vorderman never fails to impress her fans with her stunning snaps, but her latest post had her followers baffled.
The 61-year-old, who often appears on Instagram with her filter-free images, decided to try out an edited version of her photo as she opted for a soft and glam filter on the social site.
Carol’s picture was covered with a light glow around her long locks as her eye colour was subtly changed and her skin was completely smoothed out.
As she shared the photo to her 196,000 followers, Carol wrote: “Omg I’m shocked… this is the first time I’ve ever tried a filter.

“I had no idea it changes you like this… in a bit of a stage of befuddlement. I’m so ‘insta naive’ tbh.”
After posting the snap to her profile, her fans were completely baffled over the edited photo as she had a soft glow spread all across the look.
As one pal commented on her snap to tell her she doesn’t need the filter “nonsense”, before adding: “You’re gorgeous!”, Carol shared her own shock.
She wrote: “So weird isn’t it. Genuinely shocked… I just [saw] someone young and famous who I like following using this filter so I thought… oh I’ll try it… bloody hell… I had no idea it’s all such complete nonsense… wow.”

Meanwhile, Carol told another user that it’s “horrible what it does”.
Elsewhere, other followers were telling Carol that the filters were unnecessary as one user wrote: “No filter needed. You’re naturally beautiful Carol.”
Another said: “You definitely don’t need a filter. You are an amazing looking lady.”
A third wrote: “You always look good.”
