The Scottish star admitted that it may be the “last time” she performs on stage.
In the video posted to Twitter, she said: “My recent scan and my blood tests showed that my cancer marker went up. There’s still a bit of disease in my abdomen. So I want you all to know that I’ll be going through some more chemotherapy.”
“I also want you to know that I’m going ahead with the tour in February and March. I am determined to get back on stage”, Janey continued.
She added: “I’m looking forward to the tour, I think it’s fair and honest to say it might be the last time you see me live on stage. I’m hoping it’s not, but I think it’s a fair estimation.”
Janey also posted a written message to her Twitter followers, writing: “I have always made it clear in past updates that ovarian cancer is incurable but treatable”.
She went on to confirm that she plans to “keep working” for as long as she can.
Janey added: “The Beatson cancer clinic and my cancer specialists are going to support me in my aim to go ahead with the comdey tour in February , I am determined to keep working for as long and for as best as I can”.
The beloved comedian also thanked her friends, family and management team for their support, and concluded her message saying: “I really hope to see you all out there in the audience next February/March. I can’t wait to get back on stage”.
