Corrie star Sally Carman told she 'scrubbed up well' as she unveils glam makeover

Coronation Street star Sally Carman dropped jaws when she appeared on Friday’s episode of This Morning.

The 41-year-old actress, who plays troubled mother Abi Webster on the ITV soap, appeared on the ITV daytime show alongside her co-star and Kevin Webster actor Michael Le Vell.

Speaking to hosts Alison Hammond and Craig Doyle, the duo opened up about the couple’s potentially deadly clash with Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) and his wife Toyah (Georgia Taylor) over the custody of baby Alfie.

While Michael opened up about the near exit of his co-star, This Morning viewers were distracted by Sally’s “stunning” off-screen appearance.

The actress wore a short-sleeved floral dress with her blonde locks freshly dyed.

Posting to Twitter, fans praised the “beautiful” star and admired her visible arm tattoo.

One fan wrote: “Sally is stunning in real life, they make her look so drab as Abi lol,” while another commented: “Abi scrubs up well. Sally looks beautiful! Love Abi.”

Meanwhile, a third replied: “I love Sally/Abi’s tattoo.”

Speaking on the programme, Sally and Michael also teased the forthcoming departure of Imran actor Charlie de Melo.

Michael said: “There’s a quite intense week coming up, mainly for Abi and Imran Habeeb, which we found out is not that easy to say.

“Can you imagine saying that on a daily basis?

“I’m glad Charlie has left now and I don’t have to say Habeeb anymore.”

Abi and Imran are currently squaring off in a custody battle for their son Alfie, with upcoming scenes to reveal Imran and Toyah as the victims of a devastating car crash.

With Kevin accused of tampering with their car before the accident, Sally told Metro: “Abi has done loads of things wrong in the past, but she’s also had many moments of being accused of doing things she hasn’t done.

“Her instant fear is: ‘This is going to get pinned on us and we haven’t actually done anything!’.

“She’s really concerned and worried about what Kevin did to the car, and she’s wanting a lot of reassurance.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am while Coronation Street airs at 7.30 pm each day this week on ITV.
