Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has given an update on her Dancing on Ice training sessions ahead of the first live show next month.
The 25-year-old actress is best known for playing Nina Lucas in the ITV soap but she’s set to show off her moves on the rink in front of the nation.
She has been partnered with her co-star Samia Longchambon’s professional skater husband Sylvain Longchambon for the 2023 seires.

Speaking to Daily Star at the TV Choice Awards last month about rehearsals, Mollie said: “Training is going well. I don’t know how I’m doing personally. I could be really good or bad but it’s really fun.
“I’ve had a helmet on a few times but we’ve started doing lifts the other day and I love that.”
The soap star will join stars including Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, actress Patsy Palmer, former footballer John Fashanu, Olympic Gymnast Nile Wilson on the show, which is set to begin in January.
Other famous faces confirmed for the 2023 series include TOWIE legend Joey Essex, RuPaul’s Drag Race star The Vivienne, comedian Darren Harriot and Liberty X beauty Michelle Heaton.
Appearing live on Lorraine back in October this year, Mollie revealed that she is set to swap the cobbles for the ice rink.
She said at the time: “I’m really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet but being here today I’m feeling it.”
“I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it.”
She also commented on how she managed to keep it a secret before the show line-up was revealed, saying: “I have managed to keep it secret but I can tell everyone now.”
“I’m not the most coordinated but I don’t want to spend my life being like I can’t do this I can’t do that.”
While Mollie may need some advice on the skating she’ll have no problem with nailing the performance aspects required on the ice.
Last year, the actress won the gong for Best Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards after gripping viewers with the hate crime storyline alongside her on-screen boyfriend Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni).
