Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan has opened up about his health battle, which has left him so weak he is unable to open jars.
The 83-year-old told A Current Affair’s Tracy Grimshaw that he is weak and has “zero body fat” after he was put on steroids, which left him feeling “held together by string”.
As his health declines, the actor heartbreakingly admitted he wishes to spend his final years back in Australia but claims he can’t leave his son behind.

Paul said he would “ideally” like to be back Down Under and has previously admitted that he prefers it in Oz as there is “something about Australia that is friendlier and more laid-back”.
Hogan has been living in Los Angeles with his 24-year-old son Chance and has recently had a pacemaker fitted.
He spoke about his recent debilitating condition with Grimshaw and fans have been left disheartened by the news.
He admitted: “I’ve been better. I had a problem on the aorta in the kidney and the treatment fixed it, but it shrunk me. I’ve lost all my body fat and the muscles all shrank and the strength has come back, because it left me feeble. I get Chance to open jars for me.”
Paul suffers with retro peritoneal fibrosis, which is a benign growth near his kidney.
The Crocodile Dundee star admitted that “quite a few of his friends hate him” because he tries to “eat everything fatty and lardy you can think of,” which is “everything they’re not allowed to have”.
Despite the fact that he tries to put on weight, he “can’t put on an ounce” of weight after he was put on steroid treatment.
Hogan explained that the steroids “shrink your muscles” and are “supposed to make people fat,” but he got “thinner and thinner”.
He continued: “I’m now in the business of trying to put a bit of fat on, because you feel the cold too much when you’ve got no body fat.”
The Golden Globe winner claims he is “being held together by string” although he maintained his fitness up until he turned 80.
Paul said: “I was still fit. I’d take out most 40-year-olds and then I turned 80 and it’s lovely, that saying, that: ‘Turning 80 is not for sissies,’ because things start to fall apart.”
