David Beckham has celebrated his sister’s 50th birthday with a sweet social media post.
The former footballer, 47, uploaded pictures to Instagram to mark older sister Lynne’s birthday on Sunday.
It included a snap of himself as a child with Lynne, their dad and other sister Joanne, and a picture of Lynne when she was older.
He wrote: “Happy 50th Lynne hope you have an amazing day sis you deserve it. P.s sorry about the second pic @lynnebeckhambriggs1972 @sandra_beckham49 @jo_jo_beckham_ @tedbeckhamdavid sorry about the pic dad.”
It is one of the rare instances David has posted about his sibling, who tends to keep her life out of the spotlight.
The pair were reported to have fallen out when she married Colin Every back in 1999.
At the time, it was rumoured that Becks disapproved of her husband, but he still decided to attend their wedding, while Victoria declined her invite.
After she divorced Colin in 2010, Lynne had to rely on government handouts to make ends meet, claiming £164 a week in benefits.
In 2019, Lynne had to sell her belongings for as little as £2, just days after David threw a £30,000 New Year’s Eve party.
David has previously helped out his sister in the past, buying her a £250,000 home in Romford for her to live.
Since then, it appears that the siblings have made amends.

Earlier this month, David shared a picture of himself on Instagram having dinner with his mother Sandra, 73, after she treated him to his favourite childhood meal at her house.
He sneakily teased his sister Joanne, 40, in the caption, writing: “Sorry [Joanne], the [king] was home for dinner.”
Joanne replied: “Wonder if [mum] got the king mug out the cupboard for you too. Anything for the king. Oh was there a red carpet too?” She included laughing emojis in her reply.
Lynne jokily chipped in, stating she doesn’t get such treatment either, saying: “We just stand outside looking through the window.”
