Emmerdale Jai Sharma's villain arc 'sealed' as fans predict relapse after Kim scheme

Emmerdale fans are certain Jai Sharma is set to go full villain after Kim Tate’s latest scheme.

Jai signed over his shares in Hop to owner Kim in exchange for the chance to buy Laurel’s house for her, for just a fraction of the price his shares were actually worth.

But just as he was poised to buy Mulberry Cottage, Laurel decided she didn’t want to be tied to her ex – who had taken out loans in her name – forever, and her step-daughter Gabby Thomas decided to buy the house instead.

As Jai raged at Kim and Gabby for “setting him up”, fans are frightened that he could go on another cocaine binge and relapse into prior habits – and could go full on villain.

Jai has been a morally grey character for a few years since his affair with Rachel left him pleading with her to get an abortion.

He’s also known for his outbursts towards members of his family – which it was hinted could have caused dad Rishi’s latest angina attack.

He even kidnapped Charity and locked her inside a shipping container back in 2014.

Taking to Twitter, eagle-eyed fans posted: “Jai’s going to be locking up people in shipping containers while charleyed off his t**s again very shortly!”

Another added: “Jai finally getting a bit of comeuppance is waaaaaay overdue. Psychopathic kidnapper! Well done Kim!”

“If this results in an overdose for Jai & Laurel returns to drinking again…” someone else followed up.

And a fourth said: “Wonder if Jai will go and lock Kim in a container now for revenge – seems to be his MO!”

Later, a shameless Kim went as far as to offer Jai a manager’s job at the Hop – which he furiously refused before storming out of Home Farm and leaving her behind.

Fuming, he told her: “I thought I was buying Mulberry. I still think the two of you played me. She had no right to buy it out from under me!”

He added: “I did it for my family, for security. Why do you think I was doing it? Why else would I sell my shares for such a stupid price?”

Others, however, thought Laurel was being too hard on her ex-boyfriend, with one arguing: “Laurel is a bit of a b**** there to be honest. Don’t get me wrong it was terrible and so so wrong what Jai did with the loan but he was making it right by signing over his business and pay for a house she lived in with her ex husband.

“How many men would take that on?”

Another said: “If Jai had any sense he’d put the word out with all the contacts he has that Kim’s in financial & legal trouble.

“It’d only take that business 9-10 days to fold as no one uses it.”
