The Reynolds family made quite the splash when they first turned up in Emmerdale.
In 1999, Sean Reynolds (Stephen McGann) moved to the Dales with his wife Angie (Freya Copeland), their son Marc (Anthony Lewis) and daughter Ollie (Vicky Binns).
They were later joined by Sean’s father Len (Peter Martin) following the off-screen death of his mother Eileen.
After locking horns with Chris Tate and Cain Dingle, Sean made a few enemies in and around the village.
The haulage firm owner later split from his wife Angie following an affair with Lady Tara Thornfield (Anna Brecon) and left the Dales in 2002.
Daily Star takes a look inside what the Reynolds family stars are up to now.
Sean Reynolds – Stephen McGann
Stephen McGann played Sean Reynolds on Emmerdale from 1999 -2002.
After a number of years onscreen, Stephen decided to leave the ITV soap in November 2001.
Sean’s exit storyline was plotted around his extramarital affair with local businesswoman Tara Thornfield.
Having tried to resist temptation for the sake of Sean’s children Marc and Ollie, Sean and Tara eventually gave into their mutual attraction and decided to leave the Dales together to begin a new life in Chester.
His final scenes aired in January 2002.
Since leaving the Dales, Stephen has enjoyed a successful acting career.
The 59-year-old actor enjoyed minor roles in Casualty, Doctors and The Bill in the years following his Emmerdale departure.
In 2012, he was cast as doctor Patrick Turner on the hit BBC series Call the Midwife and remains in the role to this day.
Stephen is married to Call the Midwife writer and creator Heidi Thomas.
The couple have one son called Dominic.
Len Reynolds – Peter Martin
Len Reynolds moved to Emmerdale in 2001 in the wake of his wife Eileen’s death.
Portrayed by Peter Martin, the Reynolds patriarch remained on the show longer than any other family member.
Len stayed a regular character on the ITV soap up until 2007 when he died tragically from a heart attack at the age of 70 while attending a village birthday pageant.
Since leaving the Dales, Peter has enjoyed a recurring role on hit comedy series The Royle Family as Joe Carroll.
The 88-year-old actor last appeared in a 2012 special episode.
Angie Reynolds – Freya Copeland
Angie Reynolds was the long-suffering first wife of Sean.
Portrayed by actress Freya Copeland, she moved to the village in 1999.
Following a split from her husband Sean, the mother-of-two was tragically killed off in a car crash in November 2002.
Since exiting the soap, Freya has enjoyed a number of TV and stage roles.
As well as appearances in Casualty, Holby City and Doctors, Freya starred alongside Bradley Walsh and Freema Agyeman in the first season of Law & Order: UK in 2009.
Marc Reynolds – Anthony Lewis
Marc Reynolds exited the Dales shortly after the death of his mother Angie.
Having been briefly jailed for a separate car wreck, the youngster departed the village to join his father Sean in Chester in 2002 – though it wasn’t to be his final appearance on the soap.
In 2007, Marc returned to the Dales alongside his step-mother Tara Thornfield for his grandfather Len’s funeral proceedings.
Marc was played by actor Anthony Lewis, who is the brother of Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis.
Matthew memorably played the character of Neville Longbottom in the long-running film series.
After leaving Emmerdale, Anthony picked up roles in Torchwood, The Syndicate and Ackley Bridge and took on voiceover work.
He is married to his partner Samantha Whaley and the pair share a three-year-old son named River.
Ollie Reynolds – Vicky Binns
Ollie Reynolds was played by soap star Vicky Binns.
Having lived with her grandfather Len after the exit of her dad Sean and the car crash death of her mother Angie, Ollie left the Dales herself in October 2003.
The youngster moved to Manchester to go to university.
Following her Emmerdale departure, Vicky landed a role in rival ITV soap Coronation Street in 2005.
The actress memorably played Tyrone’s wife Molly Dobbs on the show until December 2010 when she was killed off in the tram crash live episode to mark Corrie’s 50th anniversary.
Vicky has since enjoyed a number of TV and stage roles.
Speaking last year, Vicky also revealed she had turned her hand to teaching during the coronavirus pandemic after her stage shows were cancelled.
She told Scarborough News: “Since lockdown I was teaching in primary schools, where I was told by a five-year-old that I looked better with my mask on!”
