Emmerdale’s Noah Dingle looks set to be the village’s latest serial killer – following in the footsteps of people like Meena Jutla, Cameron Murray and Lachlan White.
Fans are now certain he’s going to meet Meena while behind bars, serving a three-month prison sentence for the harassment and stalking of Chloe Harris.
Noah was busy following Chloe’s every move, tracking her phone and eventually almost attacking her at his house, keeping her prisoner as he claimed to be in love with her.
And things could take an even darker turn as he finds a mentor in someone like Meena.
One eagle-eyed fan turned to Facebook to say: “I reckon now Noah’s in prison he might make friends with Meena!”
“He is 18+ so he will enter the adult prison system!” someone else posted, while a third fan echoed: “LOL would be great, maybe she will make an appearance!”
Another social media user said: “I was thinking maybe it will be a unisex jail lol.”
Others were quick to point out that Noah and Meena would likely be in separate prisons, segregated due to gender – but there is at least one unisex prison in the UK, and nothing’s impossible in Soapland.
In real life, HMP YOI Peterborough is the “only purpose-built prison in the country to accommodate both male and female prisoners”, its website reads – though they are “kept separate at all times.”
One fan pointed out: “Obviously he’s male and she’s female and prisons do not mix… think there would be a lot of problems!”
Another added: “No she’s in a women’s prison. Why she never ended up in a secure psychiatric unit is beyond me!”
As another said: “Have I missed something? Is Meena in a male prison? Of course they won’t meet!”
Other fans are more sure Noah’s new cellmate will be Chloe’s jailbird dad, who has been pulling the strings from the inside and leaving Chloe and Kerry both terrified.
This week, Noah headed to court along with his Charity, Belle and Mack while the judge pointed out that while the teenager has shown some remorse, he cannot be allowed to walk free because of the severity of his actions.
Tears began to fall as the judge informed Noah he got a three-month custodial sentence.
Later, he was seen in prison overalls and shut in a holding cell.
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
