Happy Mondays' Shaun Ryder reveals why he'll never join cast of ITV's Dancing on Ice

Shaun Ryder has revealed why he would never go on ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

The Happy Mondays star supported his bandmate Bez on the show this year and even came to watch him in the audience.

While supporting Bez, Shaun got caught up in a behind-the-scenes clash with This Morning’s Alison Hammond.

The pair were both sitting in the audience supporting their showbiz pals when they butted heads.

When asked if they’ve spoken since, Shaun exclusively told us: “No, no, she doesn’t like me and I detest her that’s allowed we don’t like each other.

“You know when two people just clash, she was in the jungle with me 12 years ago and you know when two people meet and you instantly know you just don’t get on, and we don’t, but we can’t all get on.”

But would Shaun compete in the ITV skating show himself?

He replied: “Noway, Dancing On Ice is too dangerous, I can’t do that I’ve got two f***ing false hips.”

Shaun also revealed how he is on more pills now than he ever was during his partying hard heydays.

The star exclusively shared a health update with the Daily Star and shared the effects of his insufficient thyroid.

The singer said: “It’s because I don’t have a thyroid, mine was underactive which makes you fat and bald but once that goes then everything starts to grate down and you have to take lots of tablets.

“And I don’t produce testosterone now so I’m on more pills now than I was in 1988.”

Shaun, 59, also opened up about his thoughts on the royals, in particular Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

He said: “Harry is alright but yeah I don’t really think about them. He was alright one time until he started listening to his missus, I’m saying that but my marriage has lasted that long because I do everything the wife tells me to do. Yeah, we bare both p****y whipped.”

Continuing on about the royals, Shaun added: “I love the Queen, she’s been there all my life. I’ve got nothing against the Queen, some of the other ones you know they could get rid of them for all I care.

“But as long as they make us money then keep them, but if they stop making us money like Andrew, then f*** him off. But the Queen is great.”
