Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has issued her concerns for her on-screen son Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox).
Mercedes McQueen was left gobsmacked in recent scenes of the Channel 4 soap after little Bobby killed his serial killer grandfather Silas Blissett (Jeff Rowle).
The protective mum was determined to protect her boy and they both left the village during Thursday’s (September 39) first-look episode on E4.

Evil Silas returned in recent scenes to get his hands on grandson Bobby and decided to try to kill the McQueens by using an electrified life-size chessboard.
However, his plan seriously backfired and Bobby later returned to the scene of the crime to finish Silas off, pushing him onto the deadly chessboard.
Soap star Jennifer has revealed that she’s doesn’t want Bobby to become the next villain.
She said: “Bobby could turn into his Grandad at some point, he’s a brilliant little actor and one of my favourite people to work with.
“He’s so talented and I think over the last two years he’s just got better and better.
“I kind of don’t want him to turn evil because ultimately I think all serial killers have to go one way but I think that he would smash it if that is what they have in mind for him.”
Before the dramatic chessboard scenes aired as part of the show’s stunt week, Jennifer revealed that she was unsure if the storyline would work, but quickly changed her mind.
The actress, who has played Mercedes since 2006, explained: “The McQueen family are forced to play the big game of chess, and if you stepped on the wrong space it could kill them as Silas is controlling it on his phone.
“The chessboard was electronic, and I didn’t know if they would be able to pull it off, but it really was amazing how they did it.”
Fans will also remember that Bobby also left Sylver McQueen to die in a blazing fire earlier this year.
Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with first look episodes at 7pm on E4
