Regan Gascoigne is preparing to strut his stuff on the brand new series of Dancing On Ice and hopefully impress the ice panel with his skating ability.
The 26-year-old, who works as a professional dancer, has already expressed his joy and excitement regarding the competition and is thrilled to take part in the popular ITV show.
Previously announcing the news to his legions of fans online, Regan said: “I’m nervous, scared but mostly excited all at the same time. Hopefully I can stay on my feet.”
But before he gets to grips with the ice, the studio audience and viewers at home, Daily Star has taken a look inside his family life and his football icon dad as well as his reality star sibling.
Football star dad
Although Regan is not a familiar face to some, his father Paul Gascoigne is known as a legend to many football fans across the country.
Born and raised in Gateshead, the talented footballer became well known for playing in teams such as Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and of course the England national team.
Although he was famous for his football talent, Paul’s personal life often hit headlines as he publicly battled with mental illness, alcoholism and legal troubles.
Paul’s issues clearly affected his family life over the years and his relationship with his children.
According to reports, Paul left his son when he was a baby due to issues with his ex-wife Sheryl, 56.
However, earlier this month, the former sportsman revealed he shares a mutual bond with his son Regan over their mutual diagnosis of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Admitting that they rarely discuss the past, Paul told The Sun that when he is with his son Regan they often “hang out like mates”.
He said: “When we get together we just feel like we’ve never been away from each other. Now we hang out as mates. It’s special, I feel lucky.”
Speaking about his relationship with his dad now, Regan said: “We have such a good relationship.
“There have been ups and downs, but that is all water under the bridge. It’s love, love, love now.”
Paul previously opened up on how “proud” he is of Regan after the dancer came out as bisexual on ITV Lorraine in 2020.
Reality star sister
Paul, also known to fans as Gazza, has three children altogether.
Including Regan, he also has children Bianca and Mason who he adopted when he married former wife Sheryl.
But some may remember that Bianca is also a recognisable TV star and glamour who has appeared on the cover and inside the pages of Loaded, Maxim, FHM and numerous tabloid newspapers.
In addition to this, the blonde bombshell has starred in countless reality TV shows, including the original version of Love Island, which she went on to win in 2006.
Bianca also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, placing sixth.
In 2012, the reality babe auditioned for the ninth series of The X Factor however she failed to make it to bootcamp, as the judges described her voice as “mediocre”.
More recently, following her dad’s stint on the Italian version of I’m A Celeb, she went on the country’s own Strictly Come Dancing and placed second.
Older brother Mason
Regan’s older brother Mason isn’t in the spotlight as much as his other family members, however, he previously hit headlines in 2014 for necking gin in a disturbing neck-nominate dare.
The former estate agent being was filmed being dared to complete a dangerous game that some students call a “suicide shot”.
In the blurred footage obtained by the press at the time, Mason could be seen pulling a bottle of gin from his fridge, saying: “F**k it, let’s do the Gordon’s,” before necking the spirit.
However, life has certainly calmed down for Mason in recent years after he announced that he would be welcoming his first child with his partner Jaimee Wyatt in 2020, stating he “couldn’t be happier”.
Dancing on Ice airs Sundays on ITV and ITV Hub
