ITV's The Chase player scolded by Bradley Walsh after 'winding up' The Vixen

ITV’s The Chase witnessed a new group of people join the panel to try and take home some cash.

Bradley Walsh welcomed Sylvester from Surrey, Juliet from Halifax, Grace from Birmingham and Dan from High Wycombe as they all put their knowledge to the test and attempted to take on the chaser.

Sylvester went first and was happy to see that he was going up against Jenny Ryan, better known on the quiz show as The Vixen – and he did an impressive job by getting multiple questions right in his cash builder.

He accepted the middle offer and played for £3,000 – and luckily, he managed to get through.

Sylvester was almost caught on numerous occasions, but it wasn’t until one Shakespeare question that he tripped Jenny up as he managed to get through to the final after she missed out on a question.

As he luckily got through, Bradley told him that he was “jammy, very jammy”, prompting Sylvester to look at The Vixen and add: “I’ll see you later Jenny.”

The quizzer smiled: “You certainly will!”, before Bradley immediately intervened and said: “Don’t wind her up, just get in the final!”

As Bradley turned to Jenny for her opinion, she responded: “I guess it doesn’t matter how you get to the final as long as you do get to the final… and he’s there!”

Sylvester managed to get through to the final alongside Dan, but they didn’t manage to take home the cash after only getting up to 13.

However, despite only getting a handful of questions right, fans were cracking up at Sylvester on the show on Tuesday night.

Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to praise him, with one user writing: “Sylvester just says random things that pop in his head, he’s funny as f**k.”

Another wrote: “Sylvester on his own would be a laugh!”

A third added: “Sylvester is killing me tonight. That’s my evening entertainment!”

Although they didn’t take home the cash, fans were certainly loving The Chase as the collaborative effort saw the team amuse viewers – especially with Sylvester’s sunny personality.

The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
