Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'are free' of Royal Family, swipes Ronnie Wood's ex Jo

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sent shockwaves around the world when they decided to step back from the Royal Family and relocate to the US.

Ronnie Wood’s ex-wife Jo, 67, has spoken out about her thoughts on their decision to move to Montecito, Los Angeles and step down as senior royals.

She told Express.co.uk: “They can do what they want, they’re young, they’re free.

“Whatever they want to do, it’s not it’s not up to me to have an opinion about what they do, it’s not my business.”

Jo’s comments comes eight years after her ex-husband Ronnie joked that Harry warned him off his girlfriend at the time Cressida Bonas at Glastonbury festival.

“I gave her a cuddle and he said, ‘Oi, get your hands off’. It was great to see him.”

A statement at the time read: “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”

It continued: “It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.
