Mollie King ‘heartbroken beyond words’ as dad dies from tumour days after she has baby

Mollie King has revealed that her dad died just a few days after she gave birth to her first child.

The This Morning presenter revealed that her dad Stephen died a few months after he received a brain tumour diagnosis.

Mollie, 35, who recently welcomed a baby daughter, Annabella, with her partner Stuart Broad just six days ago, shared the devastating news on Instagram.

Her heartfelt message read: “Heartbroken beyond words. In August, my family’s world was shattered when my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Last week, we had to face the day we hoped would never come and say goodbye.

“Dad, we love you with all our hearts and we will miss you every single day. You have been our hero, and it’s impossible to think of our lives without you.”

She added: “You have always been there for us with every step we’ve taken, and you even held on a few extra days to meet baby Annabella.

“You gave us your everything. You will be in our hearts and our memories every single day.”

The pop star went on to share several snaps of herself with her father along with her words.

Mollie received several messages of condolences from celebrity friends, with former I’m A Celeb winner Giovanna Fletcher writing: “Oh Mollie, I’m so sorry to read this. Sending you and your family so much love!!”

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison commented: “I’m so, so sorry, Mollie,” while radio host Zoe Ball posted: “Mollie, I’m so sorry. Sending you so much love.”

It comes after Mollie and her partner, cricketer Stuart Broad welcomed the birth of their baby girl on Thursday (November 24).

She captioned the post: “Welcome to the world Annabella Broad. We have never been so in love.”
