Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen opens up on chaotic life after split from husband Clive

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has admitted her home life is “busy and chaotic” following her break-up with husband Clive.

Mum-of-nine Amanda, 47, spoke at The Game Fair about the contrast between her home and work life, where the solitary, rural surroundings of Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire give her respite from the chaos

Channel 5 star Amanda also confessed that she feels the balance between the two is just about right at the moment, saying: “My home life is busy and chaotic but my work life is solitary.

“Too much of each one is not good but living in a remote place gives me peace and quiet.”

“You can lose yourself and distance yourself from everyone and everything. Once I go out of that door to work it is back to basics.”

Amanda and Clive are focussing on the well-being of their nine children following the end of their 21-year marriage

The Channel 5 favourite went on to point out that her surroundings can make her feel “vulnerable” and, reflecting on her down-time, she declared: “I never see anyone, it’s just me and nature.”

Amanda announced last month on Instagram that her marriage to 67-year-old Clive had come to an end.

The Yorkshires Shepherdess’ statement read: “Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn’t been easy but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.

Amanda was reportedly promoting her new book “Celebrating the Seasons with the Yorkshire Shepherdess: Farming, Family and Delicious Recipes to Share” when her marriage to Clive first showed signs of cracking in October

“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children. We would like to thank everyone for their support and would that the media please respect our privacy as we work through this difficult time.”

The Owens’ relationship is believed to have first hit the rocks in October with Amanda reportedly spending nights away from the family home as the couple fought to save their marriage.
