Strictly Come Dancing has officially come to an end, with – and – being crowned this year’s worthy winners.
The 2022 series has no doubt been an unforgettable year for the BBC One show and fans have witnessed countless memorable moments.
But with intricate costumes means clothing mishaps occur that no one can avoid.
From X Factor star Fleur East’s “boob flash” to Will Mellor’s trousers bursting open, this year’s celebs have had their fair share of fashion faux pas.
To celebrate the end of the series, Daily Star has rounded up the biggest wardrobe malfunctions from Strictly Come Dancing 2022.
Stuck in costume
Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer were one of two same-sex partnerships on this year’s series alongside Ritchie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice.
During the first live show, the comedian and her partner performed the Samba to the Christina Aguilera track Dirrty.
The routine kicked off with the 38-year-old strutting forward and ripping off a blue boiler suit, revealing a stunning black dress underneath.
But while everything went smoothly on the night, Jayde took to Instagram the following day to showcase her major wardrobe blunder during the dress rehearsal.
In the clip, the star attempted to rip off her suit, however her costume refused to budge and she was unable to unveil her black outfit.
Seeing the funny side, the comedian continued busting out some moves before embracing Karen.
Luckily, everything went smoothly on the night as she was awarded 23 out of 40 for her first routine.
Trouser split
In week five of the competition, Strictly professional Nikita Kuzmin found himself in a spot of bother while dancing with partner Ellie Simmonds.
The duo performed the Paso Doble and received a solid score of 30 out of 40 for their efforts.
But after their routine, one eagle-eyed fan noticed the 24-year-old seemingly disappeared from the studio for a while and questioned whether everything was okay.
The Ukranian dancer took to his Instagram and assured everything was fine, he just had to nip off set following a clothing mishap.
Responding to the comment, Nikita penned: “Just ripped my pants because of the paso,” adding the laughing face emoji.
He continued: “So had to get them sawn for the 3rd time! Thank you.”
Boob flash
X Factor star Fleur East revealed the audience got a little more than they bargained for during the dress rehearsal for the Strictly semi final.
While practising her Paso Doble, the 35-year-old confessed she accidentally “flashed everybody” when she lifted her skirt up.
Chatting on her Hits Radio Breakfast show, the singer explained: “In the dress run before the actual live show there were so many wardrobe malfunctions with my costumes in particular.”
Mortified, Fleur added: “So, when I did the Paso Doble in the dress run I basically flashed everybody when I lifted my skirt. It was really bad – and then my boobs fell out!”
If that wasn’t enough, the I’m A Celeb star revealed her “boob fell out again” while practising the Charleston which was her second dance of the evening.
She recalled: “After that I practiced my lift in the Charleston and my strap broke on my top so my boob fell out again!”
“So that was fun… I was so nervous for the live show after that had happened in in the dress run that I was like, ‘Please let my costume stay on’.”
Luckily, Fleur suffered no mishaps during her live performances and blew the judges away with both performances.
Dancing with Vito Coppola, the couple were awarded 35 points for her Paso Doble and 39 points for her Charleston.
Underwear glimpse
Also during the penultimate show, Hamza Yassin suffered an unfortunate incident during one of his routines.
Dressed in a tartan kilt and waistcoat, the Countryfile star took to the dancefloor with pro partner Jowita Przystal and wowed the judges with his Charleston.
But as the 32-year-old was kicking his way around the ballroom to Pencil Full of Lead by Paolo Nutini, fans took to social media to point out the slight wardrobe malfunction.
One penned: “Whoops! You can see Hamza’s pants! #strictly.”
Another added: “Hamza needs to learn the basics of wearing a kilt… keep your legs shut if you are seated #Strictly #experience.”
Echoing these thoughts, a third penned: “Them there camera angles on Hamza’s kilt were a choice #Strictly.”
Also picking up on the blunder, someone else chimed in: “Love Hamza’s enthusiasm on #strictly but the camera angle was unfortunate given the initial shots under the kilt. #yikes #StrictlyComeDancing2022.”
Button split
Not long after Hamza’s wardrobe mishap, Will Mellor began battling with his trousers following his first routine of the semi finals.
After performing a raunchy Paso Doble with partner Nancy Xu, the dancing duo made their way over to Tess to get judges’ feedback.
As he stood next to the blonde beauty, the Coronation Street actor could be seen fiddling with his cummerbund and trousers.
Will, who failed to land a place in the final, explained to the presenter: “My button burst, I think,” before she took a peek down his pants and said: “Did it?”
“Bit tight these pants,” Will confessed, which then left the 53-year-old feeling rather flustered.
“Oh gosh, they are quite tight,” she uttered in a mumbled voice, before adding: “Wardrobe malfunction.”
Dress slash
The semi finals was front and centre for wardrobe issues as Helen Skelton ripped her dress mid performance.
Getting in the zone in an attempt to land a place in the epic final, the presenter gave it her all for her second performance of the evening.
Dancing the Argentine Tango with Gorka Marquez, the duo put on a sizzling display as they stomped across the dance floor.
The former Blue Peter star, 39, looked nothing short of sensational in a blue sequin dress, however, disaster struck when her heel got caught in the material.
Like true professionals, the pair continued their dance and by the end, the dress has a frayed edge as Helen had ripped through it completely.
Speaking after their performance, Tess Daly mentioned: “Is your dress ok? I know it got caught a little bit in your heel.”
Top rip
The wardrobe issues kept coming for Helen as she managed to rip her plunging top in the middle of an interview.
Chatting to Rylan Clark-Neal on It Takes Two, the mum-of-three was in high spirits after learning she had secured a place in this year’s final.
Ironically, she began speaking about her wardrobe issue during her Argentine Tango when she revealed her current issue.
She told the X Factor star: “I’m having a nightmare! I’ve taken my shoes off because my feet hurt. I’ve ripped my top so I’ve got a pin here,” Helen laughed as she held up the pin in her hand.
Rylan then told her: “You’re fine darling, you’re not exposed, it’s still BBC2. Put us on at 9 o’clock, this is what happens!”
