Strictly Come Dancing professional Nancy Xu was left red-faced after confessing to being “told off” by a BBC choreographer behind the scenes.
The star appeared on spin-off show It Takes Two on Thursday (December 1) alongside her celebrity partner, Coronation Street actor Will Mellor.
As they discussed their scoreboard-topping Charleston, Will confessed that there had been a bit of a spat over their partnership in rehearsals.

Host Janette Manrara questioned Will: “Nancy said last week that even she struggled, and she’s a pro dancer doing this dance. How hard was it for you?”
A chuckling Will responded: “There were a few moments where Jenny, the choreographer, went, ‘Just watch what Will’s doing!’
“I was like, ‘Hey!’ So I told Nancy ‘I’ll film it and I’ll show you where you’re going wrong, Nancy.’ Because usually she’s got the whip out going, ‘Do it again!’
“It’s true, though isn’t it? She was getting angry with herself and I was saying the shoe’s on the other foot.”
Later in the segment, Will shared his health worries as he confessed his knees are getting old – and might not be up to the task of dancing.
Sharing a snap of the star wearing bandages around his joints, Will explained: “They’re knackered, aren’t they? I’m getting on, I shouldn’t be doing what I’m doing.
“I was always a bit afraid I’d get through the competition with my knees the way they are, from old football injuries and operations and stuff.
“But the physio team have really looked after me and I’ve protected them as much as I could, and I’ve done all right and they’re holding up.”
Speaking of his bare leg snap, he explained: “I just posted that because people think it’s glamorous but it’s not behind the scenes!”

He was joined on Saturday’s live show by his two children in the audience, as he gushed: “They loved the outfits, they loved the routine and it was really nice to have them there. I was cool for five minutes!”
Nancy chimed in that his kids both wanted to join in with the dad dancing – which left Will chuffed.
Fans on Twitter were still congratulating the pair on their iconic routine, with one writing: “I loved Will and Nancy’s Charleston at the weekend. One of his best routines of the series.
“A very unique and different Charleston that felt like a Jive but I still enjoyed the routine. Keep up the good work Will!”
Someone else was clearly picking up on the pressure as they said: “Nancy clearly spent the whole of last week in a cold sweat, convinced it was going to be a sodding disaster too.”
