Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez shared an adorable family snap, however has sparked confusion amongst fans in the process.
Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old posted a sweet picture of his hand interlocked with fiancé Gemma Atkinson’s, while their daughter Mia placed her hand firmly on top.
The second photo was strikingly similar, however, Gemma’s sparkling engagement ring was notably absent from the picture along with 2-year-old Mia.
In view of his 695k followers, the professional dancer captioned the post: “2022 vs 2019”, showing fans how life has changed for him in the past three years.
Despite Gorka popping the question to Gemma in 2021, the post sparked confusion amongst several fans who believed the pair were only just announcing their engagement.

Hundreds of fans flocked to the comments section to congratulate the couple.
One user penned: “Oh my goodness, such a huge congratulations to you both.”
Another commented: “Finally!! Haha. Oh congratulations, you two are made for each other. So happy for you both.”
A third wrote: “Congratulations! You are a lovely couple xx.”
Meanwhile, one user thought that the absence of Gemma’s stunning engagement ring meant the couple had broken up.

They claimed: “Oh! Thank goodness for that! I thought for a second you guys had split?!!
Several expressed confusion over Gemma having identical nails in the picture, so she took to Gorka’s comments to explain the thoughts behind the picture.
“That’s the point of it. Of course, I removed my ring. Do you think we took the EXACT same picture in the same clothes and footwear in the same place with the same weather 3 years apart?” she explained followed by a laughing emoji.
She continued: “It’s the sentiment behind it but clearly some people are only looking at the picture.”

Gorka and Gemma met in 2017 when the former soap star appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
Shortly after leaving the show, they were snapped out and about together before confirming their blossoming romance.
The welcomed daughter Mia in July 2019 and got engaged on Valentines Day in 2021.
Confirming the happy news online, Gemma shared a loved-up snap of her and Gorka on a walk alongside the caption: “Of course I said yes.”
