Strictly's Molly Rainford denies dating pro Nikita Kuzmin – as she 'doesn't have time'

Strictly stunner Molly Rainford has ruled out a romance with pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin, at least until the show’s finished.

The CBBC star, 21, says she is too busy focusing on her dance steps to find time to date anyone right now – but rumours suggest Molly and Nikita, 24, have been secretly dating.

The cosy couple were pictured looking affectionately close at the National TV Awards earlier this month and Ukrainian-born professional Nikita has just split from his girlfriend of five years.

But Molly denied they were an item saying: “Nikita and I are just friends.

“I think because we are a similar age we just get on really well. I’m not looking for love. I’m definitely concentrating on work. I wouldn’t have any time to date at this point. I am way too busy.”

Molly also suggested her own dance partner Carlos Gu had banned any romance.

She laughed: “Carlos is saying no. He wants me in the rehearsal room with no distractions. To be honest I’m just ready to go in that direction and have no distractions.”

Molly was just 11 when she found fame in 2012 singing on Britain’s Got Talent.

She went on to audition for EastEnders several times after making the final and was now hoping to land herself a part on the hit soap.

She said: “I am just at the start of my career. I would love to do more singing, acting, try the West End and maybe radio presenting.

“I would consider a soap. I had a few auditions for EastEnders when I was around 12 and 13 so we’ll see. I would love that.”

Molly says she has been inspired by her dancing co-stars, including Corrie actress Kym Marsh and Radio host Fleur East.

She said: “Everyone has taken me under their wing because I’m the youngest. We all have dinner together on Friday nights.

“To hear them talk about their careers and what they’ve done it’s just super inspiring. Kym started in music and then went into acting, and I’ve done a similar thing.

“Fleur and I have come from similar backgrounds. They have both given me advice.”

Fans were shocked to find Molly and Carlos in the dance-off last week.

But the unexpected scare has made her even more determined to waltz off as the winner.

She said: “I’ve been up and down this week. But I still think we can win. Anything can happen on Strictly and now I know just how much I want it.

“Being in the bottom two has definitely lit a fire. It has shown me how much I want to be here.”
