Strictly Come Dancing star Will Mellor tugged at the heartstrings of the nation as he broke down live on-air while apologising to his children.
Will and his professional partner Nancy Xu performed a Salsa on Saturday night (October 1), but he received some harsh critiques from the judging panel for his “heavy” dancing.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood told Will: “I thought you danced all of that just too heavily into the floor, and that interrupted the flow. It was a bit jagged in places, and this is a dance that should be a melting pot of steps.”

He did admit that Will has “exceptional rhythm” and said his performance skills are “out of this world”.
Up in the commentary box, host Claudia Winkleman told the former Coronation Street star: “I know you want to say hello to your daughter – she is having a Strictly party at home right now. Hello Renee!”
“Yeah, Renee and Autumn and Erin, they’re all sat at home watching,” Will said, before continuing, “Sorry it wasn’t great for you kids. I tried my best.”
There were shouts of “no!” from gathered onlookers as Claudia reassured him he’d done a great job, and received scores of sevens and sixes from the panel.
Nancy admitted she “pushed him really hard” this week as she “wants to bring out the best in him” – before apologising to Will for “maybe pushing him too hard”.
Fans at home were left emotional over Will’s outburst, as one penned on Twitter: “Aww, poor Will, he seemed so down but I still think he did really well!”
Another added: “Not Will saying sorry to his kids to try and pull on everyone’s heartstrings. Cut that out right now!”
As a third penned: “Well done Will and Nancy that was a great start to tonight’s show it’s a 7 from me and your daughter should be proud of you!”

“Don’t be too gutted with that performance, Will!” someone else encouraged.
Speaking of what went wrong in the routine, Will confessed: “They were right, my mind went completely blank. I got to a certain step and thought, ‘I don’t know what’s coming next’.
“I don’t know, it’s the first time I’ve opened the show, whether it’s nerves? But it’s life, that’s what can happen.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays from 6:30pm on BBC One, with the results show following on Sundays.
