The Chase fans all say the same thing as they spot Mark Labbett's 'smug' habit

The Chase viewers weren’t happy with Mark Labbett as they took to social media to fume over his “smug” habit.

Tuesday’s four hopefuls, John, Terance, Fil and Lucy were welcomed into the ITV studio by presenter Bradley Walsh as they prepared to take on The Beast in a bid to win some cash.

And the team got off to a cracking start as John and Terrance sailed through to the final chase with £11,000 between them.

Up next was 62-year-old Fil who earned an impressive £6,000 in the cash builder.

But sadly for the folk singer, things weren’t meant to be as the chaser caught her when she was just one step away from home.

As soon as he knocked out his first contestant of the evening, the 57-year-old couldn’t hide his delight as he smirked at the team and Bradley, 62.

But viewers at home didn’t take kindly to the “smug” approach and blasted the quizzer for the action.

One user wrote: “I really hate the way the ‘beast’ smirks at the contestants on The Chase. Really looks obnoxious!”

“Smug p***k. #TheChase,” exclaimed a second.

Echoing these thoughts, another penned: “Hope mardy arsed Mark gets humped and storms off in a huff. #TheChase.”

After Fil was knocked out, up next was zoologist Lucy who showcased she was more than capable at taking on The Beast.

The 22-year-old had no problem making it to the final chase before the team collectively scored 18.

While this is a comfortable score, it wasn’t enough to beat the chaser who managed to equal their total with 13 seconds spare.

A few fans accused Bradley of reading the questions at a faster speed for the chaser than the contestants

But it seems those at home weren’t satisfied with the outcome as they took to social media to vent their frustrations over the former Coronation Street actor reading the questions faster for the chaser than he did for the contestants.

“Hmmmm noticed how brad speeds the questions up to the chaser #TheChase,” speculated one user.

While another theorized: “He definitely reads the questions faster for the chaser #TheChase.”
