Tipping Point fans felt cheated during the latest episode as one lucky contestant appeared to ‘win the game during the first round’ with an unbelievably lucky counter fall.
Thursday’s show welcomed London-based charity analyst Myuran to the show who after failing to knock down any counters in his first attempt, had an incredibly fortunate second run.
Answering a question about Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams, Myuran opted to play his own counter and swept an unbelievable 17 counters down at once – amassing a total of £850.
Following the windfall drop, Tipping Point host Ben Shephard said: “I would say that landed exactly where you wanted it to.
“17 counters in one drop, that’s spectacular. £850, which is a really strong position.”
While Ben was impressed, Tipping viewers felt cheated by the score, which they took as a sure sign Myuran would make it to the final round.
Posting to Twitter, one viewer complained: “Well Myuran’s won, shame no double counter so we could’ve just packed up and gone home.”
Another commented: “Myuran is having all the massive drops today – totally in ‘the zone’.”
A third said: “Well… Myuran’s won.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “17 counters, Myuran, you lucky sod!”
The fans were indeed right, as Myuran became the last player left standing.
Progressing to the final round with a staggering £2,850 in cash, Myuran beat out his fellow contestant Suren to take on the final round.
His luck progressed from there as Myuran successfully gambled on the jackpot counter, wining the total pot of £10,000.
Punching the air in victory, Myuran exclaimed: “Get in.”
Ben added: “Oh, Myuran, well done you. Congratulations. That’s absolutely brilliant. How do you feel?”
The jackpot winner replied: “I just can’t wait to do everything I want to do with it; travelling next year hopefully. Central and South America.
“It’s going to be amazing.”
Tipping Point airs from 4pm weekdays on ITV.
