Tipping Point fans slam 'best final ever' as they brand episode a 'snooze fest'

Tipping Point viewers were left baffled on the latest round of the ITV game show as the best ever finals spin-off episode showed one of the boring finals ever.

As fans expected to see a recap of some of the show’s most exciting finals and big money wins, they were left baffled and disappointed when the first clip showed a contestant go home with little money and get hardly any questions right.

As contestant Nikki only won counters in two of her six categories having only bagged £2350 in her prize pot, she then decided not to gamble for the jackpot and take the money.

Her conservative approach to the final left viewers wondering how the clip made the episode at all.

“10 years of #TippingPoint and one of their best ever finals is some woman winning two and a half grand and not even gambling. Criminal that it’s been on TV for so long tbh.”

Another chimed in: “Best ever final? More like a snooze fest #TippingPoint”

Even Broadcaster India Willoughby chimed in, tweeting; “How is that a best ever? #TippingPoint”

A fourth added: “Best ever finals? Are you sure about that?” while another blasted: “Worst ever finals more like #TippingPoint”

Next up was comedian Tom Allen who delivered a stellar final to viewers in comparison to the first.

Tom managed to bag the jackpot counter and the double up counter making his total winnings £20k, which the star said he planned to donate to St Christopher’s Hospice.

“That was boring, apart from Tom Allen. #tippingpoint,” said one viewer.

“Well at least we got one good final tonight. What on earth were they thinking with the first one?” asked another.

The special edition episode was aired tonight after the show was booted to a different time slot to make way for ITV’s new show, Fastest Finger First.

But fans were left with buyers remorse as the show proved to be a flop with many viewers.

The show sees contestants play the first round of classic gameshow Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, with the chance to win a guaranteed place in the main show.

But as fans tuned in to watch the launch episode, many couldn’t help but criticize the format as players “compete on one game show to win a place on another.”

“Are ITV now so desperate for quiz show ideas that they have to expand a ten second part of *another* quiz show into a full hour?”

Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub at 4pm.
