Joel Dommett has returned for another year of hosting duties at the National Television Awards as he gets ready to crown the biggest stars in British TV this year.
The TV presenter and comedian is no stranger to being on screen and is best known for his roles on The Masked Singer, The Masked Dancer, Live in Chelsea and Joel & Nish Vs The World.
But outside of his busy presenting duties, Joel spends his home life with his beautiful model wife, and the couple have recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary.
Here’s who Joel’s wife is and the sweet story behind their first meeting.
Is Joel Dommett’s wife a model?
Joel Dommett’s wife is Hannah Cooper-Dommett, a 32-year-old British model who has worked with high street brands including Missguided, M&S and Boux Avenue.
Hannah is also an ambassador for the charity Brain Tumour Support, which offers help to people affected by brain tumours and their family.
As well as their solo career endeavours, Joel and Hannah also co-host a podcast together, titled Never Have I Ever.
Their podcast sees the married couple experience things they’ve never done before thanks to the unusual suggestions from listeners, even once going to a strip club together.
How did Joel and Hannah meet?
Like many couples in the modern age, Joel and Hannah’s relationship all started with an Instagram DM.
It was Hannah who made the first move, sending Joel the cat with heart eyes emoji.
Explaining how they first connected in an Instagram post shortly before their wedding, Joel said: “I get married to @hannah_cooper_ in ONE MONTH.. and I’m so damn excited.
“We met on this silly social platform. She sent me a DM simply containing [cat heart eyes emoji] – and I will never tire of telling people she messaged me first.”
The pair seemed to hit off despite the fact that Joel actually lied to Hannah on their first date, as she told The Times: “On our first date he said he was 6ft 2in [they are both 5ft 11in].
“He counts his fringe in his height. I say I won’t get a particular shoe as I’ll look ridiculous next to him but he says he loves it.”
In 2019, three years after they met, the couple tied the knot during an intimate wedding in Mykonos, with the ceremony performed by Love Island’s Iain Stirling.
Talking about the wedding to OK!, Joel said: “It was honestly so fun!
“I was fully prepared to say it was the best day of my life and pretend it was – because I’ve been lucky enough to do Bake Off and I’ve had these amazing experiences in my life – but it was genuinely the best day of my life!
“We had 28 people there. Some people have weddings where half the day is saying hi and bye to people.
“I wanted our closest friends and family to have a wonderful time.”
