The X Factor star Myles Stephenson has revealed he was temporarily hospitalised due to a heart condition.

Posting to his Instagram stories on Friday (October 7), the Rak-Su singer, 31, alarmed fans by sharing a photo of his bare chest hooked up to an number of wires and probes.

Reassuring fans, Myles said: “I am ok.

“I have a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which basically means in a nutshell that my heart walls are too thick and it can cause problems pumping blood around my body.

“So I have yearly check-ups.

“This is all very new to me as well so I am still working out what I need to do and how I have to carry myself now with regards to my heart and how much exercise I can do and stuff like that.”

Myles also revealed that while his fitness test was cut short as his blood pressure was deemed “dangerously high”, his general health is “all good”.

He added: “I am all good, not to worry, it’s very new to me, I am trying to understand what is going on.”

Myles rose to fame as a member of The X Factor band Rak-Su, who won the fourteenth series of the show in 2017.

After parting ways with their record label Syco in 2018, the group officially disbanded in 2020.
