Channel 4 bosses have reportedly been forced to make changes to the planned locations of A Place In The Sun after the July heatwave and subsequent wildfires in Europe made it too risky to film in some regions.
The property programme’s presenters and crew are currently working across the continent, shooting new episodes in a number of different countries.
However, with temperatures soaring above 40C in Italy and Spain, and Greek islands Rhodes and Corfu burning in the heat, Laura Hamilton, Jasmine Harman, Ben Hillman and co will reportedly now be shooting footage with house-hunters in alternative places.

Greece and its islands are now in the midst of its worst period of wildfires in generations, with 61 separate blazes ongoing across a number of regions.

Italy, meanwhile, has not only had to contend with fires, but huge storms in the north of the country too.
A show insider told The Sun: “Everyone working on the show is feeling the heat and some are being more impacted than others. Temperatures reached over 40 degrees in Murcia [Spain] where Laura Hamilton has been based.
“Producers have altered the filming schedule to shoot scenes early in the morning and later at night to avoid as much discomfort to participants and talent.
“They’ve also tried as much as possible to film the majority of the new episodes indoors or in the shade.”
The source added that bosses are making sure staff take “more breaks than usual” whilst encouraging them to shoot “as much content as possible in one take”.

A spokesperson for the show, meanwhile, assured fans that the cast and crew are now “filming in unaffected regions”.
In line with the broadcaster’s protocol, measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of all involved, which is of “paramount importance”.
It comes after presenter Laura told her Instagram followers last week: “Filming in 42 degrees last week. My thoughts are with anyone affected by the fires in Greece.”

A weather expert, meanwhile, has warned “the stakes have been raised” in terms of wildfire risk to the UK following the infernos in Europe.
Jim Dale, Senior Meteorological Consultant at British Weather Services, told the Daily Star wildfires will likely “continue from place to place” on the continent this summer and, although there is no risk to the UK right now, we will see them “occur more frequently in the future”.
He continued: “I would suggest the threat will come on a periodic basis, not every year and not every place,” he explained.
“But crucially, we need to have the right synoptic situation. By that I mean southerly airstream, dry weather lasting for some time, dry ground – much as you have in the Mediterranean.”
