A Place in the Sun fans couldn’t hide their shock when they realised the cheap price tag on a French property.
Host Danni Menzies took couple Alan and Joe to a medieval village of Lacelle in the Correze region in central France as they looked to move their permanent home overseas.
The married couple had a maximum budget of £85,000 to buy a two to three-bed townhouse with a garden big enough to keep their three dogs.

After a bumpy start on the first property, Danni took them to a quiet village with basic amenities including a bar, a boulangerie and a few shops.
She showed them a stunning yellow house by the road, explaining: “It is massive. There’s much more workable space than the previous one.
“It’s got four bedrooms, it’s got a huge attic which has started to be converted and you can continue with that.
“And you’ve got a third of an acre out at the back, which is great for the dogs, and also this huge garage.
“It’s a lot, isn’t it?”
The couple agreed that it’s a “massive house” but they were concerned about the price.
But Alan was relieved when Danni said it’s priced just over £70,500.
“Yeah I can’t wait to go inside and have a look!” he said.
Alan and Joe were impressed by the modern interiors and they were also happy of the garden layout, which could easily let their canines roam free.
They loved it so much and told Danni that it’s their first contender without hesitation.
And viewers were also stunned at the spacious layout and the size of the property.
One said: “This is a lot of house for the money.”
“That’s a bargain, it’s huge!” a second shared and a third added: “Imagine being able to buy a place that big for £70k!”
